City drivers will conduct multiple stops per day while interacting with customers. Drivers may be required to operate pallet jacks and lift gates to maneuver freight as needed. This hands-on, day-shift position is ideal for those who demonstrate great customer skills and have mastered local traffic routes.\nBobtail drivers with local delivery experience are welcome to apply.\nJob Responsibilities\n\u2022 Transport freight in safe and prompt manner\n\u2022 Interact with our clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner with limited supervision\n\u2022 Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws\n\u2022 Maintain responsibility for safety and security of company equipment and customer goods\n\u2022 Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, either individually or with the assistance of a co-worker, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment, as required.\n\u2022 Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets.\n\u2022 Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.\n\u2022 Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking levers to raise and lower landing gear.\n\u2022 Fuel trucks and tractors.\n\u2022 Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.\nAt DHE Transportation, we are committed to fostering growth and development for all our employees.
